Sacramental Information

The celebration of the sacraments is a visible sign of the public ministry of the Church.  The sacraments, by their very nature, are signs of grace.  It is the entire community that celebrates, and joins with the faithful around the world as the life of the Church is celebrated.

Baptism: Baptisms are ordinarily celebrated each month alternating between weekend Masses and outside of Mass at 12:30 PM on a baptismal Sunday. A preparation session is required.  Call Ed Emmenegger for information. Baptism Preparation Guidelines PDF  Baptism Calendar 2013-2014 PDF

Baptism, Confirmation, First Eucharist for Adults: Adults who wish entry into the Church do so through the RCIA. The letters stand for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The process extends through the year, and culminates at the Easter Vigil. Whenever a person would like to inquire, call Ed Emmenegger, Pastoral Associate.

 

 

 

First Communion: Children in the school and in the Christian Formation program are prepared for the celebration of First Eucharist in the second grade.  Click here for additional information or call Mary Jo Vitale for more information.

 

 

First Reconciliation: Children in the school and in the Christian Formation program are prepared for the celebration of First Reconciliation in second grade.  Click here for additional information or call Mary Jo Vitale for more information.

 

 

Confirmation: The celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation occurs during the Freshman year of high school.  A series of preparatory classes and other projects are required to be confirmed.  Call Melanie Ahern for more information. Click here for additional information.

 

 

Marriage: Ordinarily reserved for members of the parish, or children of members.  Please contact the parish office at least six months prior to your wedding.

Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office for a priest to administer the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. The sacrament is also periodically celebrated communally.

 

 

Reconciliation: Scheduled every Saturday immediately after the 8:30 AM Mass until the last confession is heard. Priests are available at other times by appointment. Communal penance services are also periodically celebrated.
